In 2008, U.S. citizens adopted approximately 77 children from Poland. Poland is party to the Hague Adoption Convention, therefore children from Poland must meet the requirements of the Convention in addition to the requirements of the Polish Government in order to be eligible for adoption.The program is currently active and referrals are being made.

Other: Preference is given to applicants of Polish descent or with other connections to Polish heritage and culture. Parents may not be over 44 years old if they wish to adopt a child under four years old. Adoption is open to Non-Catholics and Post Adoption Reports are required after the adoption is complete.
